Evangel's Defense A Family Affair

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Evangel Crusaders will be looking for their second straight win Saturday night when they go to Culver-Stockton.

Evangel is coming off a 21-19 win over Peru State.

The Crusaders defense is a family affair featuring brothers Isaiah and Micah Daniels.

The two went to Branson but after Isaiah graduated the family moved to Kansas City where Micah graduated from Staley high.

Isiaiah plays on the left corner and had 15 tackles against Peru State.

Micah's on the right side and collected 13 tackles, not a bad combination for these brothers.

"It is cool because its very rare that you get to see brothers play together in college, in football and in sports.  But it's kind of cool because me and my brother have always been close.  And playing with him has been fun," said Isaiah.

Dan Lucy:"You always have been better then him right?"

Isaiah:"Always (laughs)"

"Any sport, anything with a ball that you can pick up and play.  We always played together.  I always wanted to beat him and be bigger and everything like that.  It's always been a brotherly competition," said Micah.
