SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals set to start a four game home series against Tulsa on a beautiful weekend. Perfect day at Hammons Field to play ball.

The Drillers wasting no time in the top of the first. Cristhian Adames single up the middle. Brings in the first run of the game and it's 1-0 Tulsa.

Top of the third the Cards showing off the defense turning the good old 4-6-3 double play to end the inning. Still 1-0 Drillers lead.

Bottom of the third. Redbirds threating when Rafael Ortega hits it to Taylor Featherston who catches Greg Miclat trying to score. Miclat gets tagged out, no runs score, inning over.

Top of the fourth. Jayson Langfels hits a deep sacrifice fly to right. That brings in Ryan Casteel.

Drillers win it 8-3.
