Colombo Wins D2 MVP

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Congratulations to Drury pitcher and infielder Ryan Colombo.

The NCAA named Colombo the 2017 Josh Willingham award as the D2 baseball Most Valuable Player.

The Topeka native was 9-2 on the mound.

He also hit .375 with three homers and 33 RBI.

Colombo played nearly every inning of every game, playing in all 57 Drury games.

Colombo either pitched or played first, second or short.

The Willingham Award goes to a player who excells on and off the field and leads his team to national championship caliber status.
