Then the Shockers coming right back, Cleanthony Early and one makes it 6-3 Wichita State.
Then Early comes a flying in with the tip-in dunk to make it 10-7 WSU.
The Bears staying close, Dorrian Williams with the drive and the score 13-12 Wichita State.
But after that, Keith Pickens would leave with a groin injury and would not return.
Then Gulley would get hurt on this loose ball while Early continues to play on and hits the three.
That makes it 25-12 Wichita State.
Gulley would hurt his jaw and not return until late in the second half.
The Shockers kept making it rain threes, Tekel Cotton makes it 5 straight threes on a 15-nothing run.
Wichita State went 8 for 10 from three in the first half.
But before the half would end, Austin Ruder gets a buzzer beater to make it 33-19 at the half.
In the second half, the Bears Christian Kirk gets the layin to make it 37-23.
Then things got a little out of hand.
If the first half was a three point contest then the second was a dunk contest.
The Shockers Early off the opp, 44-23.
The Shockers cruise 67-42.
"You're hanging with them, hanging with them, hanging with them. Then all of a sudden it could be a two minute stretch and they rattle off three's like that," said MSU coach Paul Lusk.
"Two of our best guys, when you see them go down, two of our toughest guys, it's tough," said MSU forward Christian Kirk. "But we still tried to stay together. And at the beginning of the second half we tried to cut it down a little bit."
