BOLIVAR, Mo--Southwest Baptist reached into the NAIA ranks for its next basketball coach.

The Bearcats introduced Clark Sheehy as SBU's 13th hoops boss Tuesday afternoon in Bolivar.

Sheehy has coached the last seven years at John Brown University in Arkansas.

He has won 182 games over nine years as a head coach.

He led the Golden Eagles to back to back NAIA national tournament appearances in 2012 and 2013.

Sheehy played his college ball at John Brown for his father John who played his college basketball at Southwest Baptist.

"We're so excited about the opportunity to come back to a community and a town that loves basketball as much as Southwest Baptist and Bolivar," said Sheehy.  "I think it's a great opportunity and a great fit for me and my family.  In a lot of ways it is a homecoming.."
