COLUMBIA, Mo--Friday, Hillcrest native and Mizzou star wide receiver, Dorial Green-Beckham was released from the Missouri Tiger football team.

Tigers football coach Gary Pinkel dismissed Green-Beckham after a third run in with the police last weekend.

Although the latest incident occurring last weekend was dropped by the Columbia Police when no one wanted to press charges, DGB was arrested twice for marijuana related incidents previously.

The Tigers are coming off a Cotton Bowl title season where Dorial Green-Beckham led Mizzou with 12 touchdowns on the year.

Saturday, was the first time coach Pinkel talked to the media since Green-Beckham's dismissal.

"I looked at a lot of things and I made the decision that number one we want to help Dorial get better. I think that is real important and get some help. Also, the other number one is I have got to protect the integrity of the program. For me, I love that kid and I want him to get some help. He can go to another place get a fresh start and he can still achieve his goals," said Coach Pinkel.
