SPRINGFIELD, Mo--March Madness may just be tipping off with the NCAA tournament underway.

But the Missouri State Bears will be spectators after losing in the CIT tournament Wednesday night.

In our Bear Nation report, the loss to Murray State ends Missouri State's season.

Wednesday night, the Bears and Racers battled through the first half.

Missouri State opened a lead in the second half, building it to nine points.

But the Racers battled back and the Bears could scored only eight points in the final ten minutes and lost 66-63.

Missouri State season ends with a 20-14 record.

"I think that we went out there and played our hardest.  And things didn't go our way.  But that's what the offseason is for.  I wouldn't want to spend the last two years of my college career anywhere else," said MSU senior Jarmar Gulley.

"Jarmar is very, very talented and we're going to miss him alot," said MSU freshman Tyler McCullough.  "When he gets in that zone and you can't do anything to stop him.  He'll score at will and get every rebound.  He's a really tough player.  It's good to see, from my standpoint, someone who shows a lot of heart."
