Missouri State Stays Alive At Valley

TERRE HAUTE, In--The Missouri State Bears stayed alive in the Valley baseball tournament Wednesday afternoon.

In our Bear Nation report, Missouri State beat the hometown Sycamores to live and play another day.

The tournament being played in Terre Haute at Indiana State's home ballpark.

And Missouri State would break on top in the third, Joey Hawkins singles to center, Trey Massenberg and Aaron Meyer it's 2-nothing Bears.

Later in that third, Dylan Becker singles to center, a bad hop for the Sycamores, allowing  Patrick Drake and Hawkins to score it's 4-nothing.

Indiana State gets one of those back in the sixth, Derrick Hannahs singles to left, Connor McClain scores it's 4-one.

Bears pitcher Cody Schumacher was throwing b-b's he gets the strikeout here, one of his five strikeouts on the afternoon.

Missouri State gets insurance with this Connor Wilson singles that scores two more runs and the Bears stay alive 9-one and will play Thursday afternoon.
