Missouri State Splits With Patriots, Season Ends

TERRE HAUTE, In--The Missouri State Bears have been enjoying their stay at the Valley tournament.

In our Bear Nation report, Missouri State had to sweep a double header with Dallas Baptist to play for the tourney championship.

The first game Friday was the eighth time the Bears and Patriots have met this season, a new school record.

It's 2-1 Missouri State in the eighth inning Aaron Meyer flares this into short left, Alex Jefferson scores it's 3-1.

But Dallas Baptist rallies in the ninth, 3-2 with two outs and Nash King singles to right, Camden Duzenack scores it's 3-3.

Into the tenth, that's when the Bears Trey Hare singles to center, Eric Cheray scores and Missouri State takes game one 5-3.

Next was game two.

And it was all Dallas Baptist, 1-nothing top of the first when Justin Wall dribbles this toward third, an infield hit, Daniel Salters scores it's 2-nothing.

Duzenack follows with a single to center, Austin Listi and Wall both score 4-nothing.

Then Nash Knight singles to center, two more runs score, Nash Knight, good night, Patriots end the Bears run, winning game two 9-4.
