SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri State Bears just ended a tough three game stretch against the top three teams in the Valley.

And the Bears went 0-3.

In our Bear nation report, Paul Lusk and his renovated Bears were hoping to snap that three game losing streak against Evansville Tuesday night.

It was KOLR 10 night at the Q, what a handsome group that is.

Bears off to a quick start, Emmanuel Addo with the step back 15 footer, 4-4.

Then the nice pass to Austin Ruder for the three pointer, Bears up 7-6.

Evansville on a run, the Valley's leading scorer, DJ Balentine with the three, it's 13-7 Aces.

Then Balentine feeds the Llithuanian Egidijus Mockevicius for the dunk 17-11.

Missouri State with the defense, Ron Mvouuika with the steal and the hoop, he's the Valley newcomer of the week, it's a two point game.

Dorrian Williams with the nice feed to Jarmar Gulley for the hoop it's 23-18 Aces.

Missouri State with a late first half rally, Gavin Thurman with the three, it's 34-32 Aces at halftime.

Jarmar Gulley opens the second half with this scoop shot bears on top by one.

Then Gulley with the three, 44-40, Gulley a double, double, 26 points, 12 rebounds.

Later Austin Ruder with the ally opp to Christian Kirk for the dunk, the Bears hold off a tough Evansville team 64-61.

"I was pleased with their effort," said MSU coach Paul Lusk.  "It's never easy against Evansville. We had five guys out there who have never played Evansville.  I asked each one of them how did you like guarding that stuff.  Ron had an interesting answer and I'm not going to repeat.  But I thought we really guarded them and did some good things."
