Lady Panthers Advance to Elite Eight

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Drury women's  basketball team hosting a regional final against Michagen's Wayne State. With it being St. Patrick's day, the Lady Panthers didn't need any luck, their skill was plenty.

Lady Panthers hosting thier first ever regional final at the O'Reilly Center.

Amber Dvorak doing her thing in the post, count it! That makes it 7-2 Lady Panthers.

Warriors Destiny Lavita-Stephens gets the falling down floater, must be the shoes. Cuts the Drury lead to three.

Then Drury went off. Annie Armstrong pushes it up to Sanayika Shields, and one. 18-7 DU.

Later, Armstrong misses, Funderburk hustles, Armstrong cuts, Funderburk passes and Armstrong finshes. Just how they drew it up. They lead 31-19.

Before the half, Shields gets the jumper to go.

Lady Panthers win easily 99-63. And advance to their first elite eight since 2007.

They play unbeaten Bentley on March 25th.

"These guys deserve all the credit. They came out these three games of this tournament comitted. We had great practices, we had great leadership. These kids deserve the credit. It's not me it's them," said Lady Panthers coach Steve Huber.
