Lady Bears Williams Out for Season

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Lady Bears will have to continue thier season with out one of thier best players. As the bad news was confirmed that red shirt sophomore guard Kenzie Williams tore her ACL in her left knee to end her season.

The injury occured Friday night against Loyola on a fast break. This her second time suffering this injury. As a freshman, she tore her ACL in her right knee.

Williams lead the Lady Bears in scoring with a 14.8 points per game and had a team-high 49 assists.

She will undergo surgery the next few weeks.

"I think it may take a little getitng used to, she did a lot of things for us," said Lady Bears coach Kellie Harper.

"You know with Kenzie being out it makes it easier to play because we have to play for her. She would do anything to be out there with us right now. So we have to take advantage of every game cause you never know when it will be your last," said Lady Bears guard Tyonna Snow.
