On Sunday's pink game senior catcher Anastacia Boeckstiegel and her family helped raise breast cancer awareness.
"It means a lot to me because I really want to get the word out. Women get your mamograms. If I can't do anything else, I would like every mom to look at their daughter and say I will make my appointment tomorrow," said Janet Boeckstiegel.
Anastacia's mother, Janet, is a breast cancer survivor and threw out the first pitch to her daughter before the game.
"I think it is so amazing and special that we get to share this moment. I love my mom more than anything, she is my hero, my best friend, my mentor. I am so happy I get to spend this time with her and get this opportunity to catch her," said Anastacia Boeckstiegel.
"It will just be so awesome I will probably be crying," said Janet Boeckstiegel.
And on a special day the Bears and the Boeckstiegel's were able to get their win as MSU beat Indiana State 9-5.
