Huber GLVC Coach Of The Year

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--On the womens side, the Lady Panthers are also the top seed for the GLVC tournament.

And Tuesday Drury climbed one spot to number six in the latest D2 womens poll.

Drury coach Steve Huber was named the GLVC's coach of the year.

In his first season at the Drury helm, Huber has turned the Lady Panthers around.

Drury is 24-2 and won the west division title.

6-7 senior Amber Dvorak was named first team All-GLVC.

The Minnesota transfer averages 16 points and five and a half rebounds a game.

Dvorak was also put on the All-Defensive team.

Also getting post season honors, senior Bethanie Funderburk who was named second team All-GLVC.

"I think defense is the biggest thing," said Amber Dvorak.  "But I'm so happy that I'm first team all-GLVC.  I couldn't do it without my teammates passing the ball into me.  Having the confidence in me and the coaches and the fans.  I'm so honored and so glad."

"Honestly those individual things, I truely didn't feel much from it," said Bethanie Funderburk.  "Because all I'm focused on is 24-and-2.  It is nice, I appreciate it but  all I'm excited for is conference this week and regionals."
