SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Bears closing out their three game series against Southern Illinois Sunday at Hammons Field, looking to bounce back after Saturday's extra inning loss to the Salukis.

The Bears were 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference heading into the game.

Jon Harris on the mound for the Bears.

Top of the first, and Harris gets Cody Daily to strike out and end the inning. 0-0 ball game.

To the bottom of the first, Aaron Hauge pitching for the Salukis. And Tate Matheny blasts a two run homer. Matt Dezort scores as Matheny gives Missouri State a 2-0 lead.

But the top of the second, things got a little sloppy for the Bears. Ryan Rosthenhausler hits one off the glove of Dylan Becker. Ryan Casillas scores on the play from second. That makes it 2-1 Bears.

Then, a wild pitch by Harris sends Matt Jones home and just like that its tied at two.

But, the damage wasn't done. This time its a passed ball by catcher Matt Fultz and Rosthenhausler scores to give the Salukis a 3-2 lead.

And in the top of the third, Casillas would extend their lead as he hits a sacrifice fly to bring Parker Osborne home for a 4-2 lead.

But for the second day in a row. The teams would need extra innings.

Bears win in the 10th as Eric Cheray scores on a wild pitch to end the game. MSU takes it 6-5. And win two of three in the series.
