VERMILLION, SD -- The Missouri State Bears held an eight-point lead over South Dakota on Saturday at the DakotaDome, but fell 17-14.

The win gave South Dakota its first ever Missouri Valley Football Conference Victory, and denied the Bears their first 2-0 conference start since 1997.

Bears QB Kierra Harris was knocked out of the game with a concussion in the fourth quarter. He will undergo further evaluation on Monday.

The Bears face the two-time defending national champion North Dakota St. Bison next Saturday.

Evangel improved to 2-2 on the year at Plaster Stadium, defeating Culver-Stockton 34-28.

SBU fell to 15th-ranked Washburn in Bolivar, 44-21.
