Coach Martin Looks To Continue His Success In The Show-Me State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--While Martin was here in Springfield for just three years. He certainly left his mark at Missouri State.

Here's a look at his record by season a trend that was consistant when he was at Tennessee and Cal as well.  The first year, in 2008-09 the Bears went just 11-20.

Then Missouri State went 24-12.

Followed by a memorable 2010-2011 season, where the Bears won their first regular season conference title with a 26-9 record.

"It's not easy to leave a legacy in three years, but that conference championship in 2011, after finishing dead last his first year, and then by year three winning the league. That's one of the all time great seasons in Bears history. In a close game, they'll grind it out and will their way to the victory. He instills confidence in his players. They want to play for them, he insists that they do," said Art Hains.
