The team will break camp Thursday and return to the Arrowhead facility for the rest of the season.
KOLR 10's Nick Carboni is in St. Joe and files this report.
Nick Carboni/KOLR 10:Camp is officially closed to fans and media tomorrow.
But the Chiefs will actually hold a light workout here in St. Joseph on the campus of Missouri Western.
And the weather has been beautiful as it has been most of training camp.
And the outlook on running back Jamaal Charles is also sunny.
Charles of course sent Chiefs nation into a frenzy, injuring his foot on Monday.
But he did come to practice Wednesday.
He did not participate in the 11 on 11 drills.
He instead stretched on the side, never put on a helmet and did some hill climbs on the big hill here on campus.
Coach andy reid said charles could go today but the team wanted to be careful.
Andy Reid/Chiefs Coach:"Just not quiet there yet. He's making progress and feels a lot better. I guess if push came to shove he could have gone today. But for precautionary measures we kept him out. We'll see how he does in the next couple of days. I haven't determined if he'll play or not play. We'll take it day by day. If he can play he'll play if not then he won't."
So Reid still not sure if Charles will be able to play on Friday when the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers come to Arrowhead Stadium.
Of course you can catch the game on KOZL at seven and don't forget KC Blitz will be live from Arrowhead Stadium starting at 6:30.
With the Chiefs in St. Joseph, I'm Nick Carboni.
