Cards Drop Third Straight

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals have dropped the first two of their four games with the Arkansas Travelers. Saturday, the Cards look to snap their two game losing streak.

It was breast cancer awareness night at Hammons, as well. 

Kyle Hald on the mound for Springfield .He starts the game off with a strike out to Maikol Gonzales. It's 0-0.

To the bottom of the first. Cody Stanley drops a single to center. Breyvic Valera scores. Cards lead 1-0 early.

In the second. Drew Heid hits one that could be two, but hustles and beats the throw. Matt Long scores on the play. Tie game 1-1.

Same inning Gonzales cranks a double to left. Two come home for the Travs. And it's 4-1 Arkansas.

Still in the second Hald gets a double play ball from Mike Bianucci to end the inning.

Travs win it 8-5.
