Burger, 1st Team All-America

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri State Bears are headed to Ft. Worth for this weekend's Super Regional.

And two Bears were honored Thursday by Baseball America.

Missouri State third baseman Jake Burger was named first team All-America and shortstop Jeremy Eierman was put on the third team.

Burger is the 2017 Valley Player of the Year and is sixth in the country with his 22 home runs.

The draft eligible junior is the third Bear to receive first team accolades joining Nick Petree and Matt Cepicky.

The Bears open the Super Regional Saturday at 5:00 p.m. against Texas Christian University.
