SPRINGFIELD, Mo -- The Missouri State Bears got their first look at Texas Christian's Lupton Stadium Friday as they had a workout prior to Saturday's Super Regional against TCU.
In our Bear Nation report, KOLR 10's Megan Rice and Dan Molloy are in Fort Worth with our coverage.
Dan gives us a preview of the Bears-Horned Frogs series.
They certainly didn't take the easy way out, but the Bears escaped Fayetteville, one of the toughest regionals in the country.
"Getting revenge on 2015 was nice, but that's not the end of the road. We still have some games to win, and, hopefully, a couple more dogpiles," said Bears pitcher Jordan Knutson.
Their super-regional opponent knows all about dogpiling this time of year - TCU aims for its fourth consecutive appearance in the College World Series.
"They were the regular season co-champion of the Big 12, which was the highest-rated league in the country, and obviously had a great year. Storied program," said Missouri State coach Keith Guttin.
The Bears and Horned Frogs boast similar records, but TCU has done it against tougher competition. The No. 6 team in the country has dominated in Fort Worth, with a 26-4 home record.
"I think TCU fans are gonna be just as crazy and just as nuts, so we'll have fun down there," said Bears third baseman Jake Burger.
"The way I look at it, if we can win at Baum in front of that many people, we can win anywhere. TCU is gonna be a tough team, but if we play our baseball, we can go there and win," said Bears outfielder Hunter Steinmetz.
"Their baseball" last week was four nailbiters, all decided by one run. If the Bears play that type of game, it could be another wild weekend on the Road to Omaha.
