LEBANON, Mo.-- Locals donned make-up and tattered clothes and did their best impression of the living dead in Lebanon today in an effort to raise money for COPE.

COPE, or Creating Opportunities for Personal Empowerment, is a non-profit agency that provides emergency shelter and much more to victims of family violence.

The 5th Annual Zombie Walk and Zombie Sock Hop will collect 100 percent of the proceeds raised in the event to be donated to COPE.

In the event’s first year, just over $800 was raised for COPE and about 40 attendees took to the streets.

Zombie Walk Lebanon is sponsored by Community Arts Lebanon Missouri (CALM), Ozark Visions Costume Shoppe, and Ozark Nightmares.
