On July 5, the Lebanon Police Department observed a car in the parking lot of Lebanon High School, upon closer inspection, a probable cause statement indicates that the vehicle was occupied by two undressed subjects, a 15-year-old Lebanon boy and Natalie Westefeld, 25, of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
The juvenile told officers that he was 16-years-old and Westefeld presented identification at the scene that stated she was 25-years-old.
When asked how old the male subject in the car with her was, Westefeld stated the juvenile was 20-years-old.
The boy stated that they met on a dating app called ‘Badoo’ about four weeks prior.
The juvenile said that in order to register on the application he had listed his age as 18-years-old. Westefeld said that his profile indicated that he was 20 years old.
When police asked Westefeld if the boy ever told her he was 15-years-old, she said he told her but she “thought he was kidding.” She said in her opinion he was “18 years old at the youngest.”
The boy told police that he advised Westefeld of his correct age on the app. Westefeld told the boy that she would talk to him via text message, but only as a friend, according to the statement.
Westefeld told police she “really liked” the boy after messaging him back and forth several times. She said that the boy asked her to meet up and she told him “she was married but having some trouble.”
According to the statement, the boy told police that the two had met each other on three separate occasions and had sexual contact.
Both the boy and Westefeld told police they had sex on three separate occasions that occurred on June 15, June 29, and July 5 of 2014,
The teenager met Westefeld after midnight where she would pick him up to have sex at the same high school parking lot.
The boy said that he attempted to make excuses to not see Westefeld. But when he told her he couldn't see her because he needed money, Westefeld continued to offer him money, which he said he took on occasion.
Westefeld has been charged with Statutory Rape in the 2nd Degree and is currently in Laclede County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
