SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- The nice weather this weekend has been a well-deserved break from the recent storms.

Weather being in the 50 and 60 degree range has allowed for people in the area to take a walk, jog, or just stretch their legs and shake-off the winter blues.

Warmer weather moved into Missouri this weekend and many in Springfield were out taking full advantage of the sunshine and higher temperatures today.

"Just kinda out here enjoying the nice weather for a change getting a break from the snow and being able to skate the outside at the skate park," said local skate boarder Dylan Harreld. "It's definitely more fun to be outside and to have the park opened up."

With inches of snow on the ground over the last few weeks, the the warmth comes as a welcome relief for many who have been cooped up inside due to snow and ice.

One local car wash saw an increase in traffic today due to nice weekend weather. People in the area were out in force washing all of the winter grime off of cars as nice weather hit the Ozarks.

Even if you just took a stroll in the park or just tried to soak up some much needed sun; this weather opportunity is one that could not not be missed.
