WEBB CITY, Mo. -- Webb City officers are adding a system that will enable Webb City police to access police reports in Carthage and vice versa. It's a step toward more unified law enforcement countywide and, police say, well worth the $2,000 price tag.

"We've always shared information by word of mouth or by radio - those types of systems. Being able to do it electronically where an officer can go down and just type in a make and model of a car, and it'll come up," said Carl Francis, Webb City, City Administrator.

The information sharing system will connect through a server at the Carthage Police Department.
