The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management is urging folks to be prepared.
"We are always ready," says Director Dale Moore (full interview above). "We have someone who is on call. We have staff who comes in at the first sign of any difficulty and we man our situation room and we are ready for whatever we need to do."
Despite sunny conditions on Wednesday, Moore is hoping people will simply think about where they would take cover.
"We live for telling people when the skies are blue that is when you plan for the worst. You don't wait until the sirens are going off to think, 'what do I do?'"
