SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Volunteers are fanning out today along a stretch of Highway M in Christian County to clean up trash.

The James River Basin Partnership is sponsoring the spring cleanup south of Nixa, where the Finley and James Rivers merge.  Volunteers are cleaning up a one mile section of Highway M this morning.

This is an annual event to clean up trash that has collected over the winter months and part of Earth Day month efforts.
