Vehicle Crashes Into Lake Taneycomo, Three Locals Injured

ROCKAWAY BEACH, Mo.(Hometown Daily News) – Three residents of Rockaway Beach are injured after crashing their vehicle into Lake Taneycomo Monday night, in Taney County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 40-year-old Darrell Amos was traveling eastbound on Highway 176, at Silver Creek Drive in Rockaway Beach at 6:25 p.m., when the vehicle ran off of the right side of the roadway and came to rest in Lake Taneycomo.

Amos and a passenger, 46-year-old Ann Fehrenbach, were transported to Cox Medical Branson to be treated for their respective moderate and minor injuries.

A third passenger, 57-year-old Patricia Willen, also received minor injuries but chose to seek her own treatment.

According to the online crash and arrest reports, Amos was issued a Felony Driving While Intoxicated- Physical Injury charge and none of the three vehicle occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
