Driver's brakes malfunction at nearby call center

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- A strange video surfaced on the internet Wednesday showing a car appear from the woods along Kearney Street as President Donald Trump's motorcade passes by.

At about 1:15 into the video a white car appears from a wooded area onto Kearney street as President Trump's motorcade passes.

The man who took the video, Clayte Hefner, said he was outside his work and took the video just trying to catch the motorcade. He saw two women inside the car as it rolled out of the woods. The car hit the ditch and was disabled.

Springfield police said the woman's brakes malfunctioned as she was coming out of the Bass Pro call center and warehouse on Kearney St.

Spokesperson Lisa Cox says the woman went over the embankment and ended up on the road.

A second video has surfaced showing the car appear from a different angle.

Police say there were no injuries and no arrests.
