UPDATED: Winter Storm Warning Area Extended, Includes Greene County

SOUTHWEST MISSOURI – Winter weather is on its way into the Ozarks. Take a look at the updated list below to see if your county is under a watch or warning.

The first storm of the season will impact the Ozarks and Southeastern Kansas on Thursday and Friday.

Participation will likely begin as a mix of snow, freezing rain and sleet before switching over to all snow later Thursday evening.  Another round of snow will move across the region late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Total snowfall accumulations are expected to range from one to three inches north of I-44 to two to five inches along the I-44 corridor.  Amounts between four and six inches across far Southern and South Central Missouri are expected.

A winter storm warning is in effect for the following counties from 9 a.m. Thursday to 6 p.m. Friday.
