According to a statement from the sheriff, James contacted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and said he would turn himself in to Sheriff Degase only.
James gave the sheriff his location in rural Eastern Douglas County, where he was arrested without incident.
On Wednesday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office asked the public for information on James' wherabouts. Deputies were searching for James for numerous parole and probation violations.
Previously, James guilty to sexual assault and was recently released from prison. According to a news statement, he began stalking and harassing the victim from his initial arrest.
James is currently being held in the Douglas County Jail on a Douglas County Capias warrant and a Christian County warrant for stalking.
