SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The United Way of the Ozarks held its annual meeting Tuesday at the University Plaza Hotel in Springfield.

The organization celebrated accomplishments from last year and set out plans for 2014.

Dollars raised in 2013 helped address red flag priority issues in the Ozarks.

"It just is a great example of how the community comes together, not just once a year not but 365 days a year to give back to our community,” says United Way of the Ozarks President Jennifer Kennally.

United Way plans to raise more than $4 million in 2014.

The organization has been around for more than 80 years.
