"Things like endangering other people which would be the biggest ones," says Scott Lorimor, operations manager of Joe's Your Way Home. "Endangering yourself and [another problem is] how am I going to get my car home? "
Drinking and driving is out of the question. So that's where this helper and his bike come in handy.
"Drivers ride around downtown," says Lorimor. "If you see one feel free to flag one down. Wave your arms yell 'Joe!' Whatever works best for you and then they will follow you to your car and take you home."
Riding bikes which fit snugly into the back of your car, Joe's Your Way Home, can meet you at the bar and take you and your car home. Ensuring your new years party doesn't end in cuffs or a crash with two simple words.
"When you are stumbling out of a bar," jokes Lorimor. "And you have had a few too many you can just see one of our guys and yell 'hey Joe!'"
Rides range from $10 to $25 inside the Springfield city limits.
Farmer's Gastro Pub has booked all the Joe's Your Way Home employees for their New Year celebration.
