DALLAS COUNTY, Mo. -- Two 53-year-old men were ejected and killed in separate motorcycle wrecks in Newton and Dallas counties Monday morning.
The first was reported at 5:45 a.m. in Newton County. A 2005 Honda motorcycle driven by Charles Knight, of Granby, Missouri, went off the left side of the road and overturned - ejecting Knight.
The second crash killed Michael Lane, of Lebanon, Missouri, and was reported at 6:15 a.m. He was driving a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the road and hit a barbed wire fence. The motorcycle overturned, throwing him off.
Officials don't know the actual time of the crash.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scenes of their crashes. Neither were wearing a helmet.
