MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people for stealing two personal watercrafts from a storage facility on Highway 62 in the Henderson area sometime after June 12.

Sheriff’s Investigators became aware that the watercraft had been stolen after being contacted on June 22, by the owner, who had been notified by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in Salem, Arkansas that they had recovered two personal watercraft belonging to him.

The owner followed a report stating that he had last seen the personal watercraft, a 2001 and a 2002 Sea Doo valued together at approximately $4,650, on June 12, where they were being stored at the Brigg’s Iron Horse Boat and RV Storage in Henderson.

Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigators subsequently interviewed three persons identified by Fulton County authorities, and two of those three reportedly admitted to being involved in the theft.

29-year-old Darren Norman and 28-year-old Amanda Crawford both of Salem were arrested and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on one count each for theft of property, a Class D Felony. Bonds were set at $5,000 each.
