Government officials are speaking out in response to the Charlottesville tragedy.

With several weeks before Missouri lawmakers are back in session, and President Donald Trump on a working vacation, the quickest response Saturday morning came in the form of tweets.

Some Twitter users criticized the President for the amount of time it took him to issue a response, which was about an hour after the first lady acknowledged Charlottesville protests on Twitter. Trump is currently taking a 17-day working vacation at his golf resort in New Jersey.
