Uden, 75, is accused of shooting to death her ex-husband in Wyoming in the mid-1970s.
She was arrested along with her current husband, Gerald Uden, in Missouri in 2013. They had lived quietly in the Chadwick area for more than 20 years when Wyoming cold-case investigators came to Christian County in September to arrest them.
Alice Uden is charged with killing her husband, Ronald Holtz, who disappeared in late 1974 or early 1975. His body was found last year in an abandoned mineshaft in rural Laramie County, Wyoming.
Gerald Uden, who was also arrested in September, was charged with killing his wife, Virginia Uden and her two sons, Richard and Reagan. The three were reported missing in September 1980. Their bodies have never been found. He has pleaded guilty to the charged and is now serving life in prison.
Laramie County District Court officials said today that Alice Uden’s trial began this week and jury selection was continuing this afternoon.
