GARFIELD -- Arkansas Missouri Railroad police are working an accident where several train cars have derailed in Garfield.

Benton County deputies confirmed the derailment happened around 11:30 Tuesday morning.

Ron Sparks with the railroad says several cars carrying sand tipped onto their side. Clean-up will take 2 to 3 days.

There were no injuries reported and the spill does not pose a hazardous materials threat.  No crossing will be blocked during the investigation and clean up of the scene, says Sparks.
