Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest in Baxter County

BAXTER COUNTY, Mo.--A Norfolk area man was arrested in the early morning hours Mar. 29 for having three grams of methamphetamine.

At approximately 4:08 am on Mar. 29 a Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a Norfolk area man for a traffic violation on State Highway 5 just south of Mountain Home.

During inquiry, it was discovered that the man had a suspended license and was taken into custody.

Upon search of his vehicle the Deputies found approximately three grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, including a pipe and a scale.

The suspect was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both Felonies, and also Driving While License is Suspended and Driving Left of Center, both Misdemeanors.

The suspect is being held on $15,000 band and will appear in court on April 3.
