This is according to findings by the Human Rights Campaign, Project One America.
The survey followed and documented challenges faced by a number of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people
in the state.
Findings showed that LGBT people are active members in areas like the home, workplace, and within faith communities.
However, despite this LGBT Arkansans are lacking legal protection at either the local or state level.
"A LGBT person right here in Arkansas can be legally fired by their employer simply for who they are or who they love. And we all know that you're just as likely to grow up gay in Arkansas are you are in New York or California. We cannot let, we cannot let the rising tide in equality leave anyone behind," says Project One America Director Brad Clark.
Project One America says it will work to change these results in the state, by doing things like promoting legal protections and forming more institutions for the LGBT community.
