JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- An execution date is set in April for one of three men accused of murdering a St. Francois County, Missouri farm couple.

The Missouri Supreme Court Friday set April 23 for the death sentence for William Rousan.  Rousan, along with his son, Brent Rousan and brother, Robert Rousan, were accused of shooting Charles and Grace Lewis on their farm near Bonne Terre, Missouri in September, 1993.  The trio had gone to the farm to steal cattle, and brought a rifle with them.

Brent and Brent Rousan pleaded guilty for their roles in the murders and were given prison sentences.

William Rousan went to trial and was convicted and sentenced to death.  Rousan was one of 21 men on Missouri death row whose executions were on-hold after a lawsuit was filed over the compound drugs used in Missouri's lethal injection process.
