We hate to lose touch with our gadgets, don’t we? We text, email and surf the web nonstop and ladies’ fingernails make that a challenge. The Elektra Stylus Nail,  however, is poised to save women from having to navigate the aggravation of texting with the fatty pad of the fingers. The Elektra is a fake fingernail that’s detected by the phone’s screen, and acts as a stylus so you can keep right on clicking. You can even paint it to match your manicure. A big hit at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, the nails are sold in packages of six and are said to last several days.

As our disconnection between the online and offline world dissipates, it seems as if we’re now not only looking for ways to stay connected, but also ways to make staying connected convenient. Our brains are reading emoticons as emotions, we rationalize video chat to being just as good as being there, and we’re not ready to unplug — no matter how intrusive technology is becoming in our daily lives. This immersion between the physical and virtual world has been growing, and now we’re beginning to see the convenience side of this immersion kick off.
