Stone County Sheriff's Office Asks for Information on Theft Suspects

STONE COUNTY, Mo. – The Stone County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying two suspects accused of stealing a Kansas couple’s credit cards.

According to the sheriff’s office, a couple from Kansas was visiting Silver Dollar City in Branson on July 5. The couple left their belongings in a storage cubby while riding a ride.  During that time, a bag containing the couple’s belongings was stolen.

The bag was later recovered, but their credit cards were missing.

The victims provided credit records to the sheriff’s office and deputies obtained a video of two suspects.

The credit card was used twice on the same date at the following Springfield establishments:

  • Kum & Go at 2404 E. Sunshine, Springfield, MO at 8:25 p.m.
  • Lucy's Chinese Food at 2456 E. Sunshine, Springfield, MO (time unknown)

The suspects, a man and a woman, were seen driving a red passenger car.
