SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- "The Show Must Go On" is the name of the summer exhibit on display at Fox Theatre in downtown Springfield.

It tells the story of theaters and entertainment venues in Springfield over the last 170 years.

The exhibit is at Fox Theatre because the History Museum on the Square is being restored.
John Sellars, the executive director of the History Museum on the Square said, "We had no idea how many theaters have been in Springfield over the years.  After doing a lot of this research, people will find a lot of things fascinating about the background and history of entertainment here in Springfield."

The exhibit is open Monday through Saturday until October 11, from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Admission for adults is $3 and $1.50 for children.

The renovations to the History Museum on the Square should be done by the spring of next year.
