Springfield Entrepreneur Creates World's Largest Manila Envelope

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Developer Damian Palmer has found a unique way to introduce his newest mobile app to the world.

"We wanted to make the launch special," he said.

At 9 feet wide and 13 feet long, Guinness has given Damian confirmation that his team has created the world's largest manila envelope.

The envelope will be used to hold a press release, announcing the application's release.  Because the app, known as Pressed, gives people reminders that help them achieve their goals, going public this way made sense for Damian

"I thought this would be kind of a nice way to talk about our brand and say 'we want to help you achieve goals' but we also we wanted to make it special," he said.

The press release with the app's formal release announcement will be mailed to a major publication yet to be determined.

It's been quite the journey getting to this stage, but now Damian can say he's fulfilled a business goal and a childhood dream.

"One of my long time goals ever since I was a kid was I wanted to be in the big, shiny Guinness book," he said.
