Route 66 Rescue Puts on Meet-and-Greet Adoption

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. -- It's the perfect day to celebrate man's best friend and one organization celebrated with adoption.

Route 66 Rescue kicked off National Dog Day with a meet-and greet adoption event at the Christian County Library.

Not only could you take home a new pup but the whole family could join in on some crafts and activities centered around all things pooch.

The owner of Route 66 says it's an all-breed rescue.

"Any dog that needs help - we have room for or have a foster for - we will take into rescue," Connie Foster said.

Route 66 partners with the library at least four times a year for adoption events.

Foster says if you're interested in adopting you can view their rescues on their website and fill out an application.
