SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A man from Springfield man was taken to a local hospital this morning after police found him injured after a robbery at a home in the 600 block of South Main.

Police Sgt. Todd Revell said the man, 57, told officers he was visiting a friend at the home when a man and woman came to the residence and were admitted by the friend who lived there.

An altercation erupted as part of a possible “drug transaction,” according to Revell, and the man who had come to the house assaulted the visitor.

The 57-year-old was bound hand and foot, he said, and robbed of his wallet, credit cards and his automobile - a 2007 Pontiac with license plate CJ5-AOA - according to Revell.

Police are seeking the couple and the vehicle.
