River Jam Raises Money to Clean Area Waterways

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- The River Jam & Crawdad Boil raises money for local water clean-up operations, June 14.

The event takes place from 5 pm to 11 pm at the Park Central Square.

The River Jam features a crawdad boil, hours of foot-stomping music, information booths, merchant booths, food vendors, activities, and beverages provided by Springfield Brewing Company.

River Jam was created to support clean water in area springs, streams, rivers, and lakes with the James River Basin Partnership.

Music begins at 5:00 pm.

All proceeds go to support the James River Basin Partnership. James River Basin Partnership is a local organization that is working to protect and improve the water quality in springs, rivers and lakes for the present and future generations.

The James River basin consists of nearly a million acres in portions of 7 counties.
