“I say keep plugging away and persevere,” he said. “You'll find something.”
He stopped by the Salvation Army for a few hours on a snowy day. Lte. Aubrey DeBaar says there have been many more visitors like him in the past few frigid weeks.
“Especially in these January and February months, you really get to see who is Branson,” DeBaar said.
Many families deal with the same kinds of problems in January and February, when job activity is low and heating bills are high.
Seasonal employment trends in Branson make the two months after Christmas some of the hardest of the year. That means service organizations must work extra hard to make sure they can serve everyone they need to.
“The need seems to be unique in Branson because it's seasonal. In other cities there's still four seasons but there's always something going on,” DeBaar said.
