According to a press release, the department received a tip from a citizen concerned about drug activity taking place at a residence on 16th St. in Mountain Home. An investigation, including surveillance, was set up on the property.
Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, Investigators from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, 14th judicial Drug Task Force and Probation and Parole went to the residence.
Inside, they found several items of drug paraphernalia including pipes, several baggies containing residue from suspected methamphetamine, spoons with suspected drug residue, syringes and needles.
Joseph Thompson, 56, of Mountain Home, who lives at the residence was arrested and charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also found at the residence, Jennifer Willett, 38 of Mountain Home, was also arrested without incident after a syringe with suspected methamphetamine residue was found in her purse. She was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
A set of binoculars, which have been reported as stolen, were also recovered at the residence. The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
Thompson and Willett were booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on a bond of $2,500 each, pending court appearances in court on Oct. 10, 2013.
Willett, who is currently on parole, is also being held without bond on a parole revocation.
